Ross Voelker
Ross and his wife Noreen live and farm in Pigeon, Michigan.
He doesn't believe his centennial farm has ever missed a year
of growing Dry Beans. Ross began his farming career in 1983.
He haS A Bachelor of Arts in the College of Business from
Michigan State Universityh. Ross enjoys growing all the traditional
saginaw Valley Crops.

Mike Sahr
Vice Chairman
Mike is the owner of two businesses, a centennial Saginaw
farm that has been in his family for generations and a successful
crop insurance agency. Mike is especially fond of Navy Beans,
especially in any baked bean dish.

FRAN ARBOGAST CARLSON
Treasurer
Fran is a grower and packager of dry beans and a registered
dietician. In addition to serving on The Michigan Bean Commission
board, Fran is a member of the American Dry Bean Board and
The Michigan Centennial Association Board and aims to increase
dry bean consumption especially in the United States. Gourmet
cooking, with beans, of course, is one of Fran's passions.

Clint Stoutenburg
Clint resides in Sandusky, Michigan, with his wife Carolyn,m
and two children, Kenton 5, and Isabella 2. Clint farms with
his father Al on their Centennial Farm on the outskirts of
Sandusky. Sugar beets, corn, wheat, dry beans, soybeans and
beef cattle keep theactivity level of th farm in high gear.
They also do work with Foundation seed and Pioneer Foundation
seed. Clint is a member of the Sandusky Episcpal Church, Sanilac
County Farm Bureau, Sanilac dry bean board andthe Michigan
sugar Company.

Dennis Engelhard
Chairman
Dennis farms at Fertile Valley Seed farm in Unionville. He
was a founding member of Bayside Best Bean, a farmer owned
processing facility in Sebewaing,Michigan. Dennis sees a bright
future for the Michigan Dry Bean Industry.

JACK FRANK
Jack resides in the Kawkawlin area just North of Bay City
with his wife Marilyn and their sheltie dog, Brandy Rose.
Frank Farms, Inc. is third generation family farm, growing
dry beans, sugar beets, corn, wheat, and soybeans. He feels
this is an exciting time to be in the dry bean business.

CLIFF ROGGENBUCK
Cliff is the owner and operator of Roggenbuck farms in Port
Hope, Michigan. He channels his experience in the bean business
to help others through his position on The Michigan Bean Commission
Board. Along with his work, Cliff lists hunting and fishing
among his favorite activities.

Larry Sprague
Larry Sprague is the shipper representative of the Michigan
Bean Commission. Larry is serving his second stint in this
role as he had been a Commissioner from 1978 to 1986. He lives
in his home town of Durand, Michigan with his wife Janet where
he manages a marketing office for the Kelley Bean Company
whose headquarters is located in Scottsbluff, NE. Larry began
his career in the dry bean business as a dry bean marketer
for Wickes Agriculture in 1973. He has a Bachelor of Science
and Master's of Arts degrees from Michigan State University,
continues to be actively engaged in crop farming and produces
corn, wheat, soybeans, and dry beans.

ROBERT GREEN
Executive Director
Bob has over 35 years in the dry bean business starting with
Michigan Elevator Exchange in 1973. He was Director of Marketing
for Mueller Bean Co for 10 of his 20 years with that company.
After a short stay with Finora Co., Bob came to the Commission
as its Executive Director in 1997.
